Brown soft skin, she’s sweet as molasses, a young woman with a smile that puts the rays of sunshine to shame. Long mane coarse hair that flow freely past her shoulders that intrigue one’s curiosity of what her ethnicity might be. Her warm eyes can read into your soul and can see the troubles that you’re going through. Or when she turn her head slightly you can actually see a twinkle in her eyes as she’s mesmerized by the secrets that you all share. She has a round face with full cheeks that have had its share of hot moisture running down due to harmonious and heartbreaking events that our friendship has encountered.
This individual is not your average “Amiga”; she’s unique in so many ways that make you wonder if she’s a figment of your imagination. Trustworthy, reliable, fun, and energetic too, are some of the hardest qualities to find in camaraderie. Laughing at your silly jokes when you already know that they are lame, but she cares for you so much that she likes for you to entertain. Giggles of laughter and a tummy filled with butterflies’ shows nervousness of sharing details about the new guy in her life.
Going through trails and tribulations are what they’ve endured within the twenty three years of knowing each other. Dealing with hardships, with difficult circumstances has made their friendship well grounded. The biggest obstacle that they’ve overcame was finding exactly who they are. Peeling layer by layer to shed years of burdens has helped me to find out who I truly am. Wanting to let go and be free, of course, I can be because the image in the mirror is me....
